Hedgehog Family is a series of large scale interactive sculptures: an array of stackable wooden nesting hedgehogs. Each animal will be unique in its finish and interactivity, incorporating variances in touch reactive light and sound technologies. Stroking their snouts will prompt them to vocalize, which in turn will generate light patterns radiating from the face backwards along the spikes. Sound will also be played inside the body, allowing for variances in experience. Participants are invited to climb inside the hedgehogs or collaborate in moving them around.
